Why Widescreen?

Can I pick my cable TV provider?
While you can choose between more than one satellite provider, you usually only get one cable company for your area. This means you usually can't choose your service provider. Cable companies contract with towns and cities to provide cable service. They put up lines and set up service in those areas. Since they own the lines, other companies can't come in. Satellite companies, on the other hand, can beam their signal anywhere. Since you can't choose which cable provider you do business with, the only other option is to go with another type of service if your unhappy.
