Are there any PVRs or DVRs that record HDTV?
The short answer to this question is "yes". The long answer is getting one depends on how you get your TV.

Many cable operators and both major satellite companies offer DVRs that record HDTV. However, none of the standalone units that can record from any source can record HD programming. If you get your HDTV over the air, you'll either need an HD video capture card for your PC or use a device, like a D-VHS (Digtal VHS) recorder, to record your HD shows.
