What are some features of the Dish Network DVR?
UltimateTV is a PVR designed to work with DirecTV satellite service. Here are some of the features you can expect:

- Record without tapes: Like all DVRs, UltimateTV records shows onto a hard drive instead of tapes. This means it's always ready to record and you can watch your shows in any order you choose.

- On Screen guide: No more looking up the TV listings in the paper, the TV Guide or online. The UltimateTV has them right on the screen when you press the Guide button.

- Find and record shows no matter when, how often, or how long they are on: No more missing shows when they change timeslots or have extended episodes.

- Search for shows in multiple ways: Not only can you search for shows by title, but you can find them using words in the descriptions or even actor names.

- Pause Live TV: This is one task a VCR can't do. Watching the game? Go ahead and answer the phone. Just hit pause and pick right up where you left off.

- Quickly replay part of a program: Hit the skip back button and replay the last 7 seconds of what you're watching. This feature is great for hearing that snippet of quite dialog or creating your own instant replay of a game.

- Skip ahead 30 seconds at a time: Instead of fast-forwarding through commercials, just skip over them.

- Watch a recording from the beginning while it's still in progress: Unlike a VCR, you don't need to wait until a recording finishes in order to begin watching it. Just start playing the show and UltimateTV will record the rest while you watch.

- Dual Tuners: Like most satellite and cable DVRs, UltimateTV has two tuners. This means you can record two shows at once or watch live TV while another program records.

- Browse the Internet with MSNTV: Sure, it's dial-up Internet, but it's right there in front of you on your TV.
