How do I install a USB scanner?
Installing a USB scanner can be very easy. Here's what you do: First, install the interface software that came with your scanner. This software also contains the driver. Next, plug in your scanner and turn it on (the software installer may ask you to restart first). Windows should detect it and take you through the install wizard. In a few moments, your scanner will be ready for use. In most cases, you'll use the scanning software that was provided with your hardware. However, you can also scan directly into some photo editing programs like Photoshop.
