Aren't networks complicated to set up and maintain?
Networks in large corporate environments are very complicated. They require a lot of maintenance to keep hackers out and the systems running at peak efficiency. Large companies often employ a large number of people to keep things safe and running smoothly. Keeping hundreds, or even thousands, of computers working together can be a difficult task.

Lucky for you, you don't have to take care of anything on that scale. Today's off-the-shelf networking equipment make connecting a few computers in a home or small business very easy. In addition, more broadband service modems than ever are offering built-in networking. This makes connecting several computers together, accessing the Internet and protecting those systems from hackers easier than ever before.

Even wireless connections are easier than ever. You still have to perform a few extra security steps to keep other people off your WiFi network, but even that process is becoming much more user-friendly.

So, if you've been avoiding building a network because you think it would be too hard, stop waiting. You'll be happy you did.
