Help! I forgot the password to my router or access point. What do I do?
If you've hopelessly forgotten the password to your router or access point, there's only one thing left to do: Reset the device back to its default settings.

On the back of the device, there is usually a tiny little reset switch. Usually, you press it with a small pointed object. You'll probably need to hold the button for several seconds for the reset to happen.

At this point, your password will be reset along with all the other personalized settings. You will need to enter them all again. Just remember to write down the new password and keep it in a safe place - like a safe.
