What is "Safe Mode," and how can I enter it manually?
If you restart your computer, you can bring up startup options to help overcome system problems. Safe Mode allows you to boot your computer with minimal software and devices running. By booting this way, you can fix problems caused by software that loads up on startup.

To access the boot options, press the F8 button while the system is booting, but before Windows begins to load. You'll be provided with a list of startup options, including Safe Mode.
