How do I add a picture to my page?

At some point, you'll probably want to add a picture or two to your site. Doing so is actually quite easy.

First, you'll need a picture. For best results, it should be saved as either a GIF or JPEG file. Generally, you should use GIF for graphics with simple colors and JPEG for photos and other graphics with many colors.

Place the photo in a folder you've set aside for images in your site's directory. You can even call the folder "images".

Next, in your web publishing program, find the controls for adding images. This will often involve dragging a placeholder into the page where you want the image. You'll then link the placeholder to the picture in the images folder.

Finally, upload both your page and the folder with the photo in it to your site host. The picture should appear on the page when it loads online.
