Why do I need power protection?
While it looks constant, electrical power varies widely from what levels electrical devices require for proper operations. This can actually affect the performance of some devices or even damage them.

In addition to normal power fluctuations, spikes, surges, brown-outs and full outages can do harm to electronic equipment. Static electricity and even lightning can cause damage, as well.

Spike/surge protectors and backup batteries can prevent power problems from hurting your devices. For most devices, a spike/surge protector will provide enough protection for most power issues. For computers, DVRs and other devices with hard drives, consider a backup battery to prevent damage or data loss due to power outages.
